We visit 7Bone Burger Co. in Hove on opening day to see what all the fuss is about. We left with full stomachs having been served the best beef patties we have had since we started writing our reviews. The triple-b blew most of the burgers we have tried out of the water and you should go there and see why for yourselves.
We had been drooling over pictures of the 7Bone burgers all over social media for around a month waiting for the opening day to be revealed. Luckily it was a Monday, which was perfect for us as we often conduct our reviews on a Monday. We were super excited to be among the first in Brighton and Hove to try them.
We knew we wanted to try the triple-b as it’s only available for a limited time. An rare aged beef patty, blue cheese, bacon, bacon jam and truffle blue cheese dressing. The burger was presented in a american diner style red food basket with branded wax paper laid in; far from bad. Check out their full menu here: 7bone.co.uk
We could tell that the diner interior had recently been completed as at first you get the smell of freshly cut wood and paint but it doesn’t linger and you forget about it completely once the burgers arrive. Talking of the interior design, it was very pleasant with a modern but industrial american diner feel.
Nice red booths and wood tables and we have to say the service we received was exceptional. Our food arrived quickly after ordering and our drinks were almost immediate. This might just be because they had just opened not more than 10 minutes before we showed up but we like to think it’s just that good.
We gave the burger a score out of 10 in 5 categories which are: Juiciness, Bun, Flavour, Stability and Value for Money. The bun was really soft and held together well.
The beef patty was the star of the show, maybe the best we have ever had. We were asked when we ordered if we wanted them pink and of course we did. The blue cheese was a great flavour and wasn’t lost with all the other components.
As for a few things we think could be improved, the bacon jam was lost amongst the blue cheese and other ingredients, so it would be good if it included more of it. The triple-b was incredible and 7Bone have certainly made a great first impression. They have just opened so we encourage you to pay them a visit and taste the triple-b yourself. We hope that this post can tantalize your taste buds and if you do give the burger a try please comment to let us know what you thought about it.

Smokey Robinson
Patty & Bun

Patty&Bun on Ship St Brighton. We go to see if Brighton’s newest burger venue can compete with the other main players. Does the Smokey Robinson burger land in our top 10? This was our first trip to Patty&Bun and we hadn’t seen or read any reviews so we had no idea what to expect.
Wagyu Smokestack
Brighton Burger
16.2.2018
We pay Brighton Burger a visit to see what gourmet gold they have to offer. After looking through the menu there was no doubt in our minds that the Smokestack was the best choice for us. Wagyu beef topped with smoked pork, smoked cheddar & onion rings, sat on raspberry jam, onions and chilli peanut spread.
