This week we visit the Brighton Beer Dispensary to review the Dizzy-Gull Kitchen’s signature and forever-changing Dizzy Burger.
Once again, just a short walk from our office the Brighton Beer Dispensary is perfect for a big lunch and a welcomed pint. The menu is creative and varied in it’s selection and changes featuring new and inventive meals and sides/snacks on a regular basis. The Dizzy Burger; while still on the menu under the same name, changes every so often to stay new and keep hungry burger lovers coming back again and again. You can find their fixed menu on the Dizzy Gull website: www.dizzygull.co.uk
Our version was listed as: a beef patty, roast garlic aioli, tomato, and grilled onion topped with maple bacon and two layers of swiss cheese. Served in a brioche bun and with a side of thick chips. Ashley and I both agree that the maple bacon really makes this burger. On it’s own the Dizzy Burger costs £11.00 but we had it with a pint of craft beer, with that you can expect upwards of £14.50 total.
As for the vibe of the pub, it’s rustic but cosy with a vintage feel. Wooden tables, chairs and country music. The bar is not massive but not tiny either and you can expect friendly staff and some of their most popular beers and ales on tap. A great little conservatory area available at the back was our spot.
Just like our last burger review we gave the burger a score out of 10 in 5 categories which are: Juiciness, Bun, Flavour, Stability and Value for Money. As for something we think could be improved, the swiss cheese was prominent and delicious but we think it could have been melted further to improve stability.
All in all the Dizzy burger was excellent and we will be keeping an eye on the menu to see the new versions come up in the future. We hope that this post can tantalize your taste buds and if you give the burger a try please comment to let us know what your burger featured and what you thought about it.

Smokey Robinson
Patty & Bun
4.5.2018
Patty&Bun on Ship St Brighton. We go to see if Brighton’s newest burger venue can compete with the other main players. Does the Smokey Robinson burger land in our top 10? This was our first trip to Patty&Bun and we hadn’t seen or read any reviews so we had no idea what to expect.
Wagyu Smokestack
Brighton Burger
16.2.2018
We pay Brighton Burger a visit to see what gourmet gold they have to offer. After looking through the menu there was no doubt in our minds that the Smokestack was the best choice for us. Wagyu beef topped with smoked pork, smoked cheddar & onion rings, sat on raspberry jam, onions and chilli peanut spread.
