Last time we visited Stockburger Co. we were impressed but what we reviewed may not have been the best choice. It’s time to find out if the best parts of the El Toro are consistent with Stockburger’s Beef Brisket Burger.
When we walked into Stockburger Co. this time we somewhat knew what we would get. We hoped that the strong elements of the El Toro which we reviewed back in September such as the great bun, stability and presentation would still be strong in all their other gourmet burgers.
We decided to go with the Beef Brisket Burger: A Beef patty topped with BBQ pulled beef, bacon, Monterey Jack cheese, garnished with beef tomato, lettuce, caramelised onions & dressed with Stock Burger Co. Craft Beer sauce. Ashley and I are lovers of brisket and craft beer so it was the clear choice. Check out the full menu here: www.stockburgerco.com.
The burger without chips comes to £10.95. We also added bacon to the burger and ordered chips which brought the total up to £15.45. The burger was presented well just like the El Toro, with a skewer for stability. Initially they forgot to put the bacon in the burger and brought it out in dishes after we had started eating which was a little frustrating as we had to dissect our half eaten burgers to put the bacon in.
We gave the burger a score out of 10 in 5 categories which are: Juiciness, Bun, Flavour, Stability and Value for Money. So how did the Beef Brisket Burger do compared to the El Toro? Well just like the El Toro the bun was great, the patty was juicy, full of flavour and the overall the burger was nicer than the El Toro in our opinion.
As for a few things we think could be improved, we didn’t notice a craft beer flavour at all so it either needs to be stronger in flavour or there needs to be more of it. The Patty could have been pinker and the stability could be improved. We hope that this post can tantalize your taste buds and if you do give the burger a try please comment to let us know what you thought about it.

Smokey Robinson
Patty & Bun

Patty&Bun on Ship St Brighton. We go to see if Brighton’s newest burger venue can compete with the other main players. Does the Smokey Robinson burger land in our top 10? This was our first trip to Patty&Bun and we hadn’t seen or read any reviews so we had no idea what to expect.
Wagyu Smokestack
Brighton Burger
16.2.2018
We pay Brighton Burger a visit to see what gourmet gold they have to offer. After looking through the menu there was no doubt in our minds that the Smokestack was the best choice for us. Wagyu beef topped with smoked pork, smoked cheddar & onion rings, sat on raspberry jam, onions and chilli peanut spread.
